Hello All

I am in a new Round Robin. This is a pick your own theme one. You pick a focus fabric and make a block using it. The you send that focus fabric on to the others in the RR.

My Dilemma? I can't pick which of the fabrics above to use. I am leaning towards the Romance Novel fabric. I am very into theme projects. However I know that lots of people aren't. I think CQers might have an easier time using the quilting ladies for the focus fabrics.

So here is my question especially if you will be in this RR. Which one would you rather work on? You can click ( or is it double click?) on the pictures to get a better view.

Please drop me a comment and let me know. I DO read all my comments, I just don't always have time to write back to each person, but believe me I really do enjoy and appreciate them.

Let the vote begin!!!

I'm in the RR. Any one of the swatches is okay with me. It's yours. Go with the one YOU want.

Lauri, I think the romance novel fabbie lends itself perfectly to a CQ block. I don't actually see at as being to 'theme-y'. I see a block embellished in lots of vines and flowers, and hearts, but cetrtainly not as restricted as, say and under water theme!
I LOVE the fabric actually, the more I look at it the more I like it, especially as it is on a dark background. I see some stunning blocks coming out of this fabbie. I think it will be far easier for the group to co ordinate other fabrics because of the simple, yet bold colours in print.

I believe we must have been separated at birth ! you have the same litte quirks of personallity that drive my hubby nutz;)

on that note, back to the matter at hand.
I you can use the two lady fabrics in tandem, they will go together perfectly, for a fun sassy quilt.

the other is a whole different 'feel' if you know what I mean. It's all romance & gone with the windy. hope that helps some.

Oh!btw, my name is Flora & I'm one of your sisters-in-CQ 4 newbies.

Also I read your line about dyes I've been experimenting with theese dyes I got from the international quilt festival (if it comes by you at any time I reccomend going!) the dyes are fabbulous & once they dry they don't bleed, so far as I've been able to determine. they only come in the set which blows, because i'm running out of certain colors & not of others, but you can get them through this website

& some really lovely laces too!
huggs FLora;)

No doubt about it, I like the romance fabric. But as someone said, pick your favorite. I'm just looking forward to doing a rr together finally!

I have a feeling you may have chosen the Romance fabric. That is too hilarious. Where did you get "bodice ripper" fabric?
