Hello All
I know it's been months since I've posted. I have never been this long in between posts before.I just haven't felt like it. Much like my baby here. Of course Nigel is a dog so he is entitled to act like this. I am told I am not.
Oh Well enough of that
For only the second time in 22 years I didn't sew any Halloween costumes. Though we did buy everything there was a lot of thought into them so I don't feel bad. It isn't like they came straight off a hanger at Wal Mart
This is Molly's idea of a neon Butterfly. She is so tall that with her wings on she had to duck down almost to her knees to get out the door
Meet Jack and Will
They are the epitome of kitten-ness
Now to prove I am not a complete slacker. I made this purse from a cigar box for #1 son's girlfriend. We share a love for the artist Josephine Wall so I knew she would like it
I'll leave you with this image and hopefully the next year I will have more energy

Later
Lauri

Welcome back to Blogland, Lauri! I've missed "hearing" from you. I totally understand the winter blahs - I fight them every year, too. LOVE that purse you did. Your work, as always, is so creative and lovely. Warm hugs, Cathy
Welcome back!
I understand your blahs.
I get them too.
I think the secret is working through them, having a project you you don't have to get don unless you want to helps.
that way you don't feel horridly lazy if you don't feel like working on it today.
sorry to hear about your kitty.
the box purse however is stunning!
I'm sorry you're going through a rough time.
Your goth Tinkerbell/Hannah Montana photo is GREAT. How funny.
and the two kitties, where the gray one has his tail on the other's head...someone thinks he's the alpha cat!
Welcome back!
I am glad that you are back. I have had the blah's too. Sort of posted about it today.
I love all of the wings! The scooter pic is priceless.
And I love the pic with one cat's tail over the other cat's head.
Oh, what a beautiful purse you made!! Your son's girlfriend is one lucky girl to receive such a beautiful creation. Your kittens are so cute. I like the names Jack and Jill. When the cat that my DD and SIL had passed away at 13, they were also going to get a kitten - and when they had to chose between two they couldn't do it. Now Marty and Emmet keep the household "in stitches" with the tricks. I've been there with the blahs. Spring is my hard time. I love the coziness of winter and spending time in my sewing room. :-)
Hello Lauri darling!! Nice to see you back. Love the cigar box purse, and would love to see a tutorial even more....how about you do one for the next CQMagonline issue, which will be soon.
No more blahs, you hear!
Hugs
Goodness! When you catch up you realllllly catch up!!! Great pics and awesome projects!!!
